My Notes: This was an interesting look at the relationship between Loki and his adoptive family and how with such a small change to Loki's fate, how different (yet similar) things would have turned out for him. The ending of this with twist your heart.

Witer's Summary: Clint is a penitent tool, traveling the world on orders from above his paygrade. It's the least he deserves.

My Notes: "How many agents did I...?" "Don't. Don't do that to yourself, Clint." This is a look inside Clint's mind after the film. He let's his time under Loki's spell get to him and fills up his time with the mission to keep himself from thinking. It ends on a slightly uplifting note but it's a good example of how Clint should really be, instead of the more comical Hawkeye you see in most fics.

My Notes: Don't be derailed by the author tagging the fic Heimdall/Loki because it's really not. Heimdall is more of a father figure in this in that he tries to guide both Thor and Loki from his distant perch on the Bifröst. It follows Thor film canon pretty well and it's a sympathetic look at Loki and the events that led up to Loki's fall.

Witer's Summary: I enjoyed the film a lot, but I was most interested in the whole idea of translating a mythology into a functioning other-planet society full of people. So I wondered what the goddess Freyja (responsible for love, and fertility, and apparently also cats) would become if you translated her, and also what a fertility specialist does all day in a society that is clearly warrior-centric.

My Notes: I love Norse mythology and how it's twisted by the comics/movie so this caught my eye. Plus, seeing Thor and Loki's relationship and behaviour through OC characters is always fun. They mostly focuses on Freyja as she grows up a foreigner in Asgard and her observations of the royal family. It doesn't follow the movie until the very end where it's kind of a behind-the-scenes view of the coronation scene in the film.
